At this year’s Mach stand, Hall 19, Stand 300, Renishaw will present a full end-to-end manufacturing demonstration of its smart manufacturing technologies. Innovations on display include the Fortis series of enclosed optical linear absolute encoders, ideal for use in harsh environments such as machine tools and other industrial machinery. The RUP1 probe, shown for the first time in the UK at mach, is a single-sided ultrasonic thickness measurement solution for use with the Revo 5-axis multi-sensor system for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). Also on display will be Renishaw’s new ACS-1, a machine tool probe calibration device aimed at making calibration more consistent, accurate and easier compared to traditional manual methods.

Visitors to the Renishaw stand can also see a full demonstration of the end-to-end fabrication of a tibial tray, a critical component of a replacement knee joint. From initial near-net shape additive manufacturing, through intermediate machining operations, through to quality verification, the exhibition provides a clear overview of the full range of solutions Renishaw offers to manufacturers.

Renishaw will be joined by associated metrology company MSP, who will showcase its advanced on-machine metrology software and Auto Clock, a fully automated calibration solution.
