The President of the Liberia Association of Human Resource Professionals (ALHRP), Jonah Soe Kotee, called on the government of Liberia, including its social partners in the country, to ensure adequate security measures to ensure the protection and employee benefits within the Republic of Liberia. .

Kotee wants the protection of employees through health and life insurance policies, as well as consideration of the interests of workers in the workplace.

He made these statements on May 1, 2022 during the International Labor Day broadcast.

The head of the Human Resource Professionals Association of Liberia noted that ALHRP wants the employee retirement program to be legislated to benefit employees after the retirement period, and said that this program should be applied to private and public sectors in Liberia.

He said an inclusive environment in workplaces will increase the number of workforces in different sectors in the country.

The ALHRP boss wants those in charge of the sector to increase the value of hard work and ensure an enabling environment in order to alleviate the poverty of the growing population in Liberia.

Kotee noted that employers must ensure diversity, equity and inclusion in work areas through policies.

He also encouraged the government of Liberia and its social partners to do more by exploring sustainable measures to address human development in their workplaces.

The ALHRP President spoke of a wide range of employee growth and development on occasion, but concluded by calling for collective efforts to address employee challenges.

ALHRP is the only body of human resource professionals established in Liberia to look after the welfare of employees across the country. Its fundamental objective is to establish standards and control throughout its industry.

Currently, this group has more than one hundred and fifty (150) members.
