Kale Logistics Solutions Opens New Development Center to Develop Tech Talent in India

Kale Logistics Solutions (Kale), a trusted IT partner in the global logistics industry, has opened a new software development center in Kolhapur, India, as part of its drive to attract and develop talent outside the Indian metropolises.

With this move, Kale aims to access more talent and give its employees greater flexibility in where and how they work. The demand for digital technology talent, especially in non-metro areas, is expected to accelerate in 2022.

Since the onset of the pandemic, there has been a steady increase in demand for remote working and companies are setting up smaller offices away from their headquarters. With smaller cities now appearing on the IT sector’s radar, growth, job opportunities and development are spreading more evenly across the country instead of being confined to a handful of large cities.

Kale has been focused on creating jobs in small towns since opening its first tier 2 municipal office in 2020 in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

“It’s about nurturing industry-ready talent. We believe these regions are rich in latent talent, just waiting for opportunities to arise,” said Rajesh Panicker, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Founder of Kale Logistics Solutions. “We’re hiring at all levels, to raise the company’s technology quotient and keep our talent pool brimming with new-age technologies. Our goal is to seize opportunities where the talent is. That means employees don’t have to uproot themselves.” or away from their families. We embrace worker-centric models to bring in the best talent and create a lasting trend.”

Kale’s extensive portfolio of IT solutions now caters to a wide range of airports and ports.

From Asia-Pacific to North America, many countries are adopting Kale’s community platform, with Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow among major Indian airports leveraging Kale’s suite of IT solutions.

“The new office location will not only strengthen our already rich and diverse talent base, but also provide opportunities for local talent to build meaningful careers,” said Rohit Jain, HR Manager, Kale Logistics Solutions. “We are creating the opportunity to work for a global organization, in a highly valued role, from the comfort of their hometown.”
