HORIZONS 2022: Quanterion Solutions wins new contracts for 2022 and expands its services

UTICA – Quanterion, a longtime government/industry contractor and technical solutions company headquartered in Utica, is poised for a fast-paced 2022 as it handles several new contracts and expands its line of products and services.

General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Awards Calendar (MAS)

Quanterion was recently awarded a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract from the General Services Administration (GSA), which is the largest and most widely used acquisition vehicle in the federal government.

The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract allows local, state, and federal government agencies to quickly acquire pre-approved commercial products and services.

Quanterion can now provide government and industrial technical solutions at the reduced contract price in any of the following areas:

Engineering Services

Engineering Systems Design and Integration Services

Research and development in engineering and strategic planning

Information Technology Professional Services

Integrated logistics support

Risk Assessment and Mitigation Services

Professional and managerial development training

Management and funding consulting, procurement and grant management support, and corporate program and project management services

web based marketing

Ready-to-use training devices and materials

Cloud and cloud-related IT professional services

Health Information Technology Services

“The GSA MAS contract award demonstrates our company-wide commitment to providing the highest possible value to our customers,” said Preston MacDiarmid, president of Quanterion. “We are excited to foster new relationships at all levels of government through this contract as we deliver our innovative solutions to support government buyers.”

Quanterion contracted to carry out a cybersecurity study

The Office of the Principal Cybersecurity Advisor (OPCA) to the Secretary of Defense commissioned Quanterion to conduct a cybersecurity situational awareness assessment of critical assets. The Department of Defense (DoD) has requested additional information on cybersecurity processes and procedures for systems and networks supporting key operations and critical missions. Detailed analyzes and surveys of key individuals informed how cyber posture and situational awareness currently exist, from frontline operators through the chain of command to the combatant commander, and provided recommendations of improvement.

The outcome of this project will improve tactical, operational and strategic situational awareness by leveraging current tools and improved processes and procedures, providing a clear and dynamic picture of cybersecurity, mission risk and resiliency posture of critical assets.

Cybersecurity/Internet of Things (IoT) Research Agreement with Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate

Quanterion has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate (AFRL/RI). The purpose of this effort is to collaborate on IoT research and related IoT cybersecurity for Air Force applications. Quanterion evaluates IoT research applications, including device security, planning methodologies for IoT implementations, systems-of-systems research as well as, but not limited to, digital twin research and transfer related technology.

Contract for the Laboratory of Atmospheric and Spatial Physics (LASP)

The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) recently contracted Quanterion to perform reliability analyzes for Libera, a space mission to track the daily amount of energy leaving Earth’s atmosphere. Libera is NASA’s first Earth Venture Continuity selection.

Reliability engineering training 2022

In June, Quanterion will offer an open enrollment reliability engineering training in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The company offers both on-site and remote training options. It will also offer additional reliability engineering training in other popular destinations later in 2022.

“Our courses were developed by in-house experts with decades of hands-on reliability engineering experience,” MacDiarmid said. “Our training is sought after by industry, government and academia for its fast-track approach from concept to application.”
