ESET launches a new range of solutions to partner with telecom operators and ISPs

ESET has announced a new suite of products for the telecommunications industry and Internet Service Providers, with the aim of providing extended consumer protection.

Cybercrime is a problem without borders and ESET telemetry has revealed that the volume of cyberattacks is on the rise, with attacks on smartphones trending. ESET decided to leverage its technologies to create industry-specific solutions to help combat these threats.

“The average internet user has no form of protection on their personal devices despite cyberattacks, such as phishing, which are becoming more common than ever. We believe there is a huge opportunity for telcos and ISPs in the region to partner with ESET to solve this problem and provide value-added offerings to their customers,” says Andhika Wirawan, Head of Strategic Business Development, ESET APAC.

“We are excited to introduce the all-new ESET NetProtect solution suite that uses a different approach to protect consumers, especially families, against various online threats.

“Instead of using cybersecurity software installed locally on a device, ESET NetProtect scans and blocks threats in real time at the ISP and telco level before they even reach the user, protecting thus effectively everyone connected to the same Internet connection.”

The new ESET NetProtect can be offered via mobile networks or fixed network connections to protect customer devices connected to telecommunications and ISP networks (fixed or mobile) against malicious web domains or domain categories such as malware, phishing and potentially unwanted content. With ESET NetProtect, parents also have full control over their children’s filters via the Web Content Filter. The management portal for end users allows them to manage ESET NetProtect settings of their connected devices, manage their domain whitelists and blacklists and generate security reports. Security reports give users an overview of how ESET protects their devices and summary information about detected threats, blocked web pages, etc.

Through integration into existing telecom and ISP network services and enablement processes, these network-level solutions require no software installation on end-user devices as they are compatible with all internet-connected devices. , such as iOS and Android. Solutions are delivered as a one-click service activation by users’ trusted Internet Service Provider and automatically provide protection to any connected device. Security tailored to customer needs is ensured by offering strong local customer and partner support coverage as well as comprehensive protection that is one step ahead of online threats via ESET’s first access to a unique set of malware detected and consolidated into a global network of research and development centers. .

With a presence in more than 200 countries around the world and 13 research and development centers around the world, ESET offers more than 400,000 professional customers the peace of mind that their interests are protected at all times. ESET also helps protect the Google Play store and is trusted by millions of consumers around the world.
